Plakar's Trust Center provides transparency into our security, privacy, and compliance practices. Plakar is an open resilience-as-code platform built on zero-trust principles: data is deduplicated and end-to-end encrypted client-side before it ever leaves your environment, snapshots are append-only and cryptographically sealed so tampering is immediately detectable, and encryption keys remain in your own secret manager rather than with Plakar. Access to protected data is governed by granular role-based access control. Plakar maintains active security practices around vulnerability management and incident response, and is currently pursuing ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification as part of an ongoing compliance program. This Trust Center details our approach to data protection, access control, and infrastructure resilience for customers backing up databases, Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, cloud workloads, and containers.
